Majorca The Perfect Family Holiday Destination

When it comes to choosing the perfect family holiday, you’d be hard pressed to find a destination that offered more than the island of Majorca.

As one of the Balearic Islands, you are almost guaranteed all year round sunshine with glorious temperatures, averaging 23 degrees in the summer months. What’s more, it’s an ideal destination to travel to as a young family, as it’s only a short two and a half hour flight away, with fuss free transport links on arrival.

Package holidays to Majorca offer a variety of attractions and resorts to suit any holidaymaker’s needs.

The town of Alcudia boasts the largest beaches on the island and is only an hour and a half coach ride away from the main airport. Its clean sandy beach stretches seven miles up to Alcudia’s beautiful marina. The beach is the perfect place to spend your days as there are excellent amenities both on and off the beach.

A popular destination for families on a day away, the Playa de Muro resort is Alcudia’s large outdoor waterpark. This is heaven on earth for most children, with enough water slides and wave pools to keep them entertained for

hours, whilst shaded sun chairs offer some much needed respite for parents.

Palma Nova is located close to the Majorca’s most popular and most lively resort, Magaluf. This is the perfect option for families who want the excitement Magaluf can offer but with the option to chill out in a more relaxed environment.

Palma Nova has three beautiful beaches with shallow, clear water for families to enjoy. There are also a variety of watersports on offer at the beachfront, perfect for those of any age that are willing to try something new.

This resort is a convenient 30 minutes transfer from the main airport and offers one of the most popular days out on the island at Magaluf’s ‘Pirates Adventure Show’. This is a fun-fueled ride of adventure, with world class acrobatics, gymnastics and breath-taking dance routines that will captivate parents and children alike.

Finally, Santa Ponsa, a short 30 minute transfer from the airport is a fantastic family-friendly destination.

This resort offers an alternative holiday experience with a popular main beach to enjoy, but also smaller, rocky coves to seek out, only 15 minutes walk from the resort center, to get away from the crowds.

Similar to Palma Nova, Santa Ponsa is a short distance from the bright lights of Magaluf, but has its own hidden gems to offer. The town of Santa Ponsa has a fantastic variety of restaurants and delicious authentic local seafood to sample.
